Within the concert series of the complete piano sonatas by Beethoven, the Culture Bureau of Göttingen (07/2018) praised his interpretation of the Sonata in E-flat major op. 7: “His remarkable quality characteristic was the balance between absolute control and flexibility of the musical shaping which always sounded natural and convincing”.

The young pianist Zifan Ye was born 2000 in Inner Mongolia and received his first piano lessons at the age of five with associate Prof. Zhang Erpin. Three years later, he already started his professional studies in the highly gifted piano class of Prof. Xi You at the “attached Primary School to the Central Conservatory of Music” in Beijing. During this intense working period, he was selected to play in various masterclasses of Vladimir Ashkenazy, Menahem Pressler, Paul Badura-Skoda, Krzysztof Jablonski, Yong Hi Moon, Paulo Álvares, Boris Berman and Gary Graffman. Additionally, he was supported by the “Edifier Foundation” for many years. Since October 2017, he moved to Germany and continues his music studies at the “Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media” in the renowned piano class of Prof. Gerrit Zitterbart.       

Zifan Ye won lots of International Piano Competitions (19th International Piano Competition "Composers of Spain", 1st Prize of 8th International Piano Competition María Herrero, Ettlingen International Piano Competition 2014, 1st Prize of International Piano Competition in France and the 2nd Prize of “Golden Bell Award” in China).

In addition to this, he has got so many mature, ample stage experiences in China and Europe.

In 2018 and 2019, Zifan Ye performed for more than 10000 his audiences with 40 recitals in different countries and numerous cities including Switzerland (Basel), Germany (Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Hanover, Göttingen, Ettlingen, Wernigerode, Klausberg, Kaufbeuren, Hann Münden), Austria (Salzburg), Russia ( Moscow, Saint Petesburg), Italy (Brescia), France (Paris), Spain ( Madrid, Granada), Portugal (Porto), Poland (Bydgoszcz) and China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Xiamen, Xian, Zhuhai, Yichang, Shenyang and Dalian).

He has performed in many well known theatres, such as Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory Concert Hall, Conservatoire de Paris Concert Hall, Mozarteum, Sala Auditorio Joaquín Rodrigo Concert Hall, National Centre for the Performing Arts (China), Beijing Concert Hall, Tianjin Grand Theatre, Hongtai Concert Hall and Xian Conservatory Of Music Hall.

Zifan Ye has attend many prestigious International Piano Festival of Concert Series BNP Paribas, Beijing International Chamber Music Festival of the Central Conservatory of Music, International Music Festival “Piano aux Jacobins, Talent Music Summer Courses, 10th Paderewski Piano Academy, Angels of Music and Jiang-Artists-Festival.

In the meantime, Zifan collaborated with Torun Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Central Conservatory Of Music, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra and Sichuan Symphony Orchestra.

The young pianist currently lives in Hanover and continues to extend his concert career in the 2019/20 season with solo recitals in Europe including Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Peru.
